When Michelle Malkin moved to Colorado, Ken Salazar still represented this state in the U.S. Senate. But then Salazar left what would have been a safe seat (judging from Michael Bennet’s victory over Ken Buck) to become Barack Obama’s Secretary of the Interior — a much more dangerous spot, where he’s been a favorite target of the conservative columnist.

Malkin now refers to Salazar as the “Loathsome Cowboy/job-killer,” and complains about the ongoing corruption of science and environmental policy at the Interior Department. This summer, she accused Salazar of fraud, and noted that “for all his John Wayne rhetoric on the BP oil spill, President Obama has failed to administer a swift kick to the ample, deserving rump of Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.”

Yesterday, on FoxNews, Malkin delivered her own swift kick to Salazar, labeling him a political turkey of 2010 for his actions — or lack thereof — connected to the oil spill.

That safe Senate seat has to be looking pretty cozy right now.
