In recent weeks, plenty of Broncos fans have been worried about how lousy Peyton Manning has looked even in victories. But Denver boosters got a reality check on Sunday against the Chargers, when a flu-stricken Manning went out with an injury and his replacement, Brock Osweiler, stunk up the joint, Johnny Football-style. Fortunately, Manning returned and led Denver to a 22-10 victory, but that didn’t stop Twitter Nation from worrying and/or celebrating the thought that Manning might wind up on the shelf.
