So now is a great time to support Libby and Brad Birky’s feed-the-masses mission by signing up for the SAME Café Ante-Up Charity Poker Tournament tonight at the Cap City Tavern — an event that’s guaranteed not to land participants on the front page of the Denver Post, as happened to some Denver celebs who used to cut loose at a just-shuttered illegal gambling club. Players get a chance at winning prizes like dinner at Osteria Marco, a night at the Magnolia Hotel, a new cruiser or — drum roll — New Belgium beer for a year.
