Man fatally Wounded, Two Others Injured in Early Morning Shooting

Aurora, Colo. — On Sunday morning, shortly after 1 a.m., Officers responded to the 3700 block of N. Wheeling Street on a report of a shooting involving three adult, male victims.

Officers arrived, assisted with the three injured victims and secured the scene. The victims were transported to area hospitals. One victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives and personnel from the Crime Scene Investigation Unit (CSI) responded to take charge of the investigation.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that a dispute occurred prior to the shooting. The number of persons involved in the dispute or the exact nature of the dispute is under investigation.

Detectives are not releasing suspect information at this early stage of the investigation.

The deceased victim’s identity is not known at this time.
