As noted in this August 18 blog, the Denver City Council planned to tackle the question of whether or not to approve a $150,000 payment to Timothy Thomason, a cancer patient who wasn’t given prescribed pain medication after winding up in city jail circa August 2006. At the council meeting that evening, members approved the deal. Thomason’s attorney has reportedly also negotiated a settlement with Denver Health Medical Center related to the case.
