Another early morning weekday killing, this one in the alley between the 1400 blocks of Ogden and Emerson, an area captured in the graphic above (if you have problems seeing the image, click “View Larger Map”). Denver Police subsequently arrested Charles Garlick, 26. He’s being held in connection with the shooting of a man who hasn’t been identified yet. On Wednesday August 5, 2009, at approximately 2:45 a.m. the Denver Police Department received a call of a shooting in the 1400 block Ogden/Emerson alley. When Officers arrived they found one male victim with a single gunshot wound. He was transported to Denver Health Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. His identity is not being released pending positive identification and notification of next of kin by the Office of the Medical Examiner. Officers obtained a description of the suspect and suspect vehicle. The suspect was contacted at Colfax and Delaware and is being held for Investigation of 1st Degree Murder. The suspect has been identified as 26-year-old Charles Garlick. A mug shot is not available at this time.
