Earlier today, we told you about Kirk Alan Richardson, a convicted sex offender the Aurora Police Department would like to grab — and not to discuss his tattoos of Jesus and hearts.
Now, the APD is seeking another person in relation to a high-profile crime — the early morning shooting of a woman who is in critical condition at this writing.
Marco Antonio DeLeon, 22, has not been formally accused of pulling the trigger. Instead, he’s being identified as a “person of interest.” But the APD is interested enough to include a photograph of a car similar to the one DeLeon is thought to be driving. Look below to get a glance at this whip, as well as details about the crime in question.
Aurora Police Seeking Assistance from Public in Locating Person of Interest in Attempted HomicideShortly after 2:00 this morning Aurora Police officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 2000 block of North Fulton Street. Major Crimes/Homicide Unit detectives are handling the investigation. They have identified 22- year-old Marco Antonio DeLeon as a person of interest, and are requesting assistance from the public in locating him.
Marco DeLeon is described as a Hispanic Male, 5’8″, 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He is known to drive a 2008 gray/silver Chrysler Sebring bearing Colorado license plate 499TWX.
Mr. DeLeon should be considered armed and may be suicidal. If seen, please call your local law enforcement agency or 911.
A photo of Marcos DeLeon is attached, as well as a picture of a vehicle like or similar to the Chrysler he might be driving.
