Kurt Ward, 27, was arrested for his approach to getting off — and now, some observers may feel he got off too easily.
He’s been sentenced to three years of intensive supervised probation for breaking into a neighbor’s house and fondling panties belonging to a sixteen-year-old girl.
According to the 18th Judicial District DA’s office, Ward had been leering at the girl for quite some time prior to May 31, 2010. That’s when her father and brother discovered Ward in her room.
Upon being discovered, he ran out of the house, but he didn’t get far. Littleton cops soon apprehended him — an experience he must not have liked very much, since he fought with them as he was taken into custody. In March, he pleaded guilty to Burglary 2/Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief, and a few days later, he was also found guilty of obstruction of justice of a peace officer in Arapahoe County District Court. But at yesterday’s sentencing, he received no time behind bars — although he’ll be watched closely for the next three years.
