Those masked gunmen who stuck up a Bank of the West branch last week? Looks like they’re at it again.
The TCF Bank at 15350 East 6th Avenue in Aurora was robbed on December 9, and according to FBI spokesman Dave Joly, “the suspect information is the same” as it was in the Bank of the West job. As such, he continues, “We feel as if these are going to be the same perpetrators for both robberies on those dates.”
If that’s the case, people with information leading to the arrest of the crooks in question have a chance to double their pleasure. Joly says each bank is offering a $5,000 reward.

Three Masked Bandits Rob Bank of the WestOn Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at approximately 5:28 p.m., three masked men armed with handguns entered the Bank of the West located at 7995 East Hamden Avenue, Denver, Colorado. They took over the bank by pointing their guns at customers and employees and ordering them to kneel or not to move. One robber vaulted the teller counter where he proceeded to steal cash. The three exited the bank, dropping cash along the way, and fled toward the area of a nearby apartment building. Investigators believe they may have entered a get-a-way vehicle and fled the area with the remaining cash. No vehicle description is available.
All three robbers had on a hoodie and had a mask or something similar covering their faces. They were all described as “young,” possibly being in their late teens or early 20’s. The following descriptions are based on witnesses and surveillance photographs:

Black Male
Approximately 5’10” to 6’00”;
Thin build;
Wearing a dark hoodie, mask, blue jeans, black gloves and carrying a handgun.
Robber #2:
Black Male
Average height;
Thin build;
Wearing a dark hoodie, mask, blue jeans with a red label, black gloves, white running shoes and carrying a handgun.
Robber #3:
Black Male
Shorter than Robber #1
Thin build;
Dark hoodie, mask, blue jeans, gloves and carrying a handgun.
