Yesterday, we told you about what the Denver Police Department understated as a “suspicious death” near the intersection of 8th Avenue and Navajo Street, an area captured in the graphic above (if you have problems seeing the image, click “View Larger Map”). Specifically, a woman’s body was found in a car’s trunk. Now, the Denver Coroners Office has identified the victim as Uyen Tran, a 34-year-old Denver resident. But rather than ruling the death a homicide, the DCO release states only that “an autopsy was completed by our office and the cause and manner of death are pending at this time.”

Suspicious DeathOn September 2, 2009, at approximately 7:20pm, members of the Denver Police Department responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle at 8th Avenue and Navajo Street.
During their investigation, officers found the body of an adult female in the vehicle’s trunk. Detectives also responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation.
Denver Police detectives continue their investigation of this suspicious death. Cause of death will depend on the completion of an autopsy. Identification of the victim is pending confirmation and notification of next of kin by the Denver Coroner’s Office.
