The Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee just spewed out another release — this time noting that “local software company Nanco Global LLC has provided a software upgrade to the Host Committee’s volunteer page at www.DenverConvention2008.com.”
Unfortunately, that upgrade clearly didn’t include a stop by spellcheck.
Because on the volunteer page, would-be helpers are greeted with this: “Thank you for your interest and enthuisam [sic] in volunteering for the Democratic National Convention in 2008…”
I stumbled on that typo a few weeks ago and, in the spirit of enthuiastic volunteering, sent a note to the host committee suggesting a fix was in order. Although the group is ardently seeking contributions — it still has tens of millions of dollars to raise — apparently it didn’t want mine, because the reign of error continues.

Your support strengthens our coverage.
We’re aiming to raise $50,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to this community. If Westword matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
Still, Nanco Global has a few more days to make the fix, since individuals who want to volunteer can still sign up until March 15. — Patricia Calhoun
