The man who see before you is accused by the Boulder Police Department of having lifted a computer from an area computer store back in early March. Why the cops are only now releasing his photos (and yes, there’s a second one below) is hard to say. But old-school computer crime — meaning actually stealing a computer, as opposed to making off with someone’s identity from the comfort of your mom’s basement — remains against the law.

Police release photos of suspect in computer theftBoulder police are releasing two photographs of a suspect in a theft that occurred on Wednesday, March 4, at The Mac Shack, 1301 Pennsylvania St. The man is accused of stealing an Apple Mac Book Core 2 sometime between 4:38 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. that day. The theft was captured on the store’s video monitoring system.
The suspect was described as a white male who was wearing a green flat-topped cap with a front bill, a blue zipper jacket with a hood, a light-colored T-shirt and blue jeans. He had a dark-colored backpack with the word “Element” on it.
Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to contact Detective Collin Stephens at 303-441-3330 or dispatch’s non-emergency line at 303-441-3333. Those with information who wish to remain anonymous should contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-444-3776. Tips can also be submitted via the Crime Stoppers Web site at www.crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
