Yesterday afternoon, the Denver Police Department requested the media’s help in snaring Adam Gurule.

“It was a case where he was complicit in the prostitution of a child,” says Denver Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson, who adds that Gurule was known for intimidating both the victim and her clients. “Early on, we didn’t have enough to charge him, but things came together and we got an arrest warrant — but he took off. We think someone brought it to his attention that we were looking for him.”

Gurule didn’t get far, however. Shortly after the alert went out, Jackson says, “we located him at a relative’s house in southwest Denver” and arrested him on suspicion of pandering and keeping a place of child prostitution related to a girl he describes as being in “her early teens.” Says Jackson: “We’re glad we caught him.”

Bet at least one other person is, too.
