Leaving nothing on the table, the crew gets right to the point with eight very solid tracks, each different from the next. The production, handled here by the whole crew, fuses samples and sounds with a staggering diversity not seen in hip-hop since Kanye sped up his first soul sample. All three guys are brilliant on the standout track “All the Things She Said,” a flip of the t.A.T.u. record, with staggered flows and a new perspective on a typical discussion of relationships. “Fusing rock and rap one moment and riding 808 and bass-heavy hip-hop joints the next, the aptly titled EP suggests that when the Kool Crue drops its full-length, it will be game on.
