If we didn’t know any better, we’d swear that Macklemore, who we literally just wrote about hours ago, is trying to establish residency in Colorado. To wit: He played our Showcase in June, followed by a show at the Ogden in December, a show at Red Rocks in February, he’s playing in Vail tonight, followed by another Greeley on Sunday and we’ve just caught wind from friends in Boulder on the CU Events Council that they have tapped the Seattle rapper to perform at the Balch Fieldhouse on Friday, April 19.

For those keeping track, that’s almost exactly a year after last year’s ill-conceived 4/20 event featuring Wyclef Jean. Unlike that poorly attended show, this one isn’t free, and it has nothing to do with 4/20, other than the proximity of the date. Oh this show is also open to the public. Tickets go on sale this Monday at 10 a.m. (the UMC will open earlier) and will be available for purchase through Eventbrite for $40 plus fees. Tickets are also limited to one per student.
