From FY5 tracks “Red Mountain Pass” and “Sing a Lonesome Song,” it’s clear that Finnders & Youngberg is equally at home with foot-stomping bluegrass and a wide spectrum of roots, Americana and country music. On “Tomorrow Night,” the quintet takes Hank Thompson’s slow country song, speeds it up and adds a bluegrass spin, with bassist Erin Youngberg handling the lead vocals; that’s followed by a slow country number of their own (“Sold on You”), with banjo player Aaron Youngberg (Erin’s husband) adding some fine pedal-steel work. Guitarist Mike Finders and the Youngbergs take most of the lead vocals here, while the other two members — mandolinist Rich Zimmerman and fiddle player Ryan Drickey — contribute lovely harmonizing throughout.
