It’s going to be a week of mourning for Kylie Minogue stans.
The Australian pop icon, known for such hits as “Padam Padam” and “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” was scheduled to perform at Ball Arena on Tuesday, April 29, for a stop on her Tension Tour. It was going to be her first show in Denver, a major treat for Mile High fans as well as those flying in for the occasion.
Then sports happened. The Denver Nuggets will now be playing the L.A. Clippers at Ball Arena for Game 5 of the NBA playoffs on that date, and Minogue was forced to cancel the show.
On April 23, the singer wrote on social media: “Hi, Lovers. I’m so sorry that we’re not able to visit Denver on the Tension Tour due to a scheduling conflict with the NBA playoffs. I was really looking forward to performing in Colorado for the first time!! Sending my best to the Denver Nuggets for their hometown games, and I really hope to visit you all in Denver soon. Love Kylie.”
Today is the last day of our summer campaign, and we’re just $450 away from our goal!
We’re ready to deliver—but we need the resources to do it right. If Denver WestWord matters to you,
please take action and contribute today to help us expand our current events coverage when it’s needed most.
There’s no word yet on whether Minogue will bring another show to Denver — we may need to wait until another album. But here’s hoping.
