Food can be defined as sexy, but can it create the actual chemistry for sex? Do aphrodisiacs — the name comes from the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite — actually rev the engines? Tonight at the Seasoned Chef Cooking School, you can learn how to prepare dishes that just might get you lucky…or at least well-fed.

In this “Couples French Aphrodisiac” class, chef John Broening of Le Grand Bistro will instruct students on various ingredients that are thought to get the juices flowing. And with his prolonged cooking experiences in Paris, New York and San Francisco, Broening knows a thing or two about romance. He’ll instruct the class in how to make several dishes that should get you hot and bothered: scallop ceviche, housemade noodles with wild mushrooms, and chocolate tortes with honey ice cream.
The class runs from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and tuition is $75 per person. To sign up, go to the Seasoned Chef website.
