Two very different entertainment options are on the culinary calendar today. In northwest Denver, Firenze a Tavola will host a dinner featuring the wines of the truffle capital of the world, Umbria. The special space at Parisi will be pouring three wines paired with a truffle-inspired feast for $58 per person; dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Make a reservation by calling 303-561-0234.

And Cherry Creek will be rocking, when Elway’s Cherry Creek opens the Backyard patio at 5 p.m. today; The Long Run will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. The concert is a part of the restaurant’s Taste and Tunes, a summer concert series that turns the Creek into cougar country every Wednesday.
