The locavore movement is all about enjoying local produce at the peak of freshness — and tonight, you can get a taste of this growing movement at the City of Aurora’s Rocky Mountain Locavore Wine Dinner. On the menu: stir-fried quinoa with Chinese sausage, braised winter greens, pork green chile and winter squash stew, sunflower whole-wheat rolls and spiced apple compote with vanilla ice cream; they’re all served with Colorado wines. Dinner runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Expo Recreation Center, 10955 East Exposition Avenue in Aurora. Admission is $49 for Aurora residents and $64 for the general public; call 303-326-8630 or go to www.auroragov.org/recreation for more information.
