The Mestizos food truck will be showcasing its street-style fusion cuisine at this year’s Dish — Westword‘s eighteenth annual food-and-drink festival taking place in Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex next Thursday, September 6.
Here’s what to expect from the truck’s unique menu:
Owner/chef: Jose L. Gonzales
What will you be serving at Dish? Our Mexican egg rolls: black bean spread, Asian slaw, bacon bits, cheese and avocado with a choice of steak, chicken, carnitas or veggies — and a side of our poblano and mango hoisin sauce. Or, our teriyaki quesadillas with a protein/veggie options, a hint of teriyaki and the poblano mango hot sauce.

What’s your favorite dish on your menu? Lengua Taco — beef tongue is a true Mexican delicacy. We always melt cheese on a corn tortilla before adding the teriyaki caramelized onions, our poblano sauce, Cotija cheese and Sriracha for some kick.
