Bourbon with your gyro? Gin with your green chili? The dream can now be reality with Swift’s Steak House’s recent acquisition of a full liquor license. Approval from the city transpired so recently that owner Ismini Giakouminakis didn’t even know about it when we talked to her.

The decades-old Greek-centric institution at Eight South Broadway will soon add dinner service, too. “I wanted to be open for dinner and people have been asking for it,” says Giakouminakis. She doesn’t yet have menu details but look for the changes to take place sometime in the next month.

Until that happens, the joint is open for breakfast and lunch, every day except Wednesday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 303-777-9923.
