Having trouble coming up with a New Year’s resolution you can keep?
Here’s a suggestion: Try a new Colorado microbrew every month, starting with Mountain Sun’s Resolution Ale, which hit taps at its three locations — the Vine Street Pub in Denver and the Mountain and Southern Sun Pub & Breweries in Boulder — on January 2.
The brewery describes Resolution Ale, a Belgian strong golden, as “highly effervescent and deceptively strong,” with a fruity character and a dry finish.
If that’s not what you’re looking for, Mountain Sun’s pubs typically have about twenty beers on tap at any one time, most of which are brewed in-house. Right now, for instance, you can find Pre-Prohibition Pilsner, Dropkick Stout, Winter Lager and C’est la Vie, a Belgian Saison, among others, at Vine Street. And in February, the brewery will offer its annual Stout Month celebration, when it will roll out a huge number of stouts to help ward off the chill.
