Changes are coming to Englewood. The venerable El Tepehuan closed last year, and transferred operations to a food truck while the owners rehab the restaurant’s next location down the street at 3495 South Broadway, which will be called El Tep. And in February, Phil and Erika Zierke, both Englewood restaurants, will open the Englewood Grand, a new bar in an old consignment camping-gear shop at 3435 South Broadway. With all the changes, some people have taken to calling this stretch of South Broadway “SoBro.” Responds James:
Westword, why? SoBro? Why perpetuate that? It’s horrible; just call it South Broadway. Or Englewood. Keep the bros in LoDo
Adds Amanda:
NOOOOO do not name the coolest part of Denver such a douche name.

But no matter what you call its home, Anne will welcome the Englewood Grand:
Sounds so great! In Englewood, we call it, “Downtown” and we’ll be delighted to have a new place there!
What do you think of the changes in Englewood? And how do you like the nickname SoBro?
