More than eighty years after Maid-Rite got its start in Muscatine, Iowa, the chain has finally made it as far west as Denver, where Ralph’s Maid-Rite Sports Diner opened last week in Littleton.

Ralph’s serves the loose-meat and breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches that are hallmarks of Maid-Rite, but it’s also the first franchise in the chain to have a bar, with a retro, sports-bar feel. Ralph’s is the brainchild of Dewey Burton, who grew up outside of Chicago and ate at Maid-Rite stores with his dad, Ralph.

Maid-Rite currently has 75 fast-casual restaurants in fourteen states, with a half-dozen more under construction. Two of thse are slated to open in the next few months in metro Denver, Aurora and Lakewood. In the meantime, here are a few more looks at the new Ralph’s:
