Pliny the Younger, which Beer Advocate ranks as the second-best beer in the world, returned to a select few Colorado bars this month — and made its hoppy presence felt in force last weekend at a half a dozen tappings in the Denver/Boulder/Longmont area. Made by California’s Russian River Brewing, the triple IPA has a cult following that always inspires crowds and lines and oohs and ahhs, especially at the Falling Rock Tap House, which is the grandfather of Denver’s Pliny the Younger scene.
