FEAST! Vail descended upon the alpine mountain village over the Memorial Day weekend, and for a first-year event, this was definitely a winning feast fit for foodists, cocktail connoisseurs, oenophiles and beer drinkers. From a small-plate extravaganza that showcased the talents of several local chefs, including Frank Bonanno, Elise Wiggins, Troy Guard and Jeff Osaka, to pizza-and-craft-beer demonstrations and “rugged” red wine seminars, to a riveting session all about summer sparklers led by Elway’s sommelier Jim Lay and a vine-to-table dinner at Restaurant Kelly Liken, the altitude-high festival was a fantastic way to spend the weekend. To see what you missed, check out the snaps on the next page.
