Federal Boulevard, that long stretch of asphalt that takes joyriders on culinary excursions through Mexico, Latin America and Asia, has never been short on pho parlors, and it’s about ready to get one more: Pho Market Vietnamese Restaurant, which just erected a kaleidoscopic can’t-miss-it sign on its exterior, is set to open in the same block-long strip mall that houses Hong Kong Barbecue, Ba Le Sandwich, Saigon Supermarket, Golden Pho & Grill, Lollicup and, just adjacent to those, Pho 555 and Star Kitchen. Add to that lineup Pho 96 and Lotus Vegetarian, both of which are within a noodle’s toss, and there’s a different bowl of pho for each day of the week.
The windows of Pho Market are hidden behind butcher paper, but a construction crew who was digging a rather large hole in the ground to fix a broken pipe, revealed that the spot would likely open by the end of the month.
