Food is the way to many people’s hearts — and if you live in Denver, there are many great spots to fill your heart…and your stomach. So it’s not surprising that Colorado students attending college out of state sometimes find themselves missing a taste of home. Now, thanks to Larkburger and Frontier Airlines, one lucky student will get that taste.

The two Colorado companies are collaborating on a contest that will give the winner a free meal at Larkburger, $300 towards a Frontier Airlines flight home, and other Colorado prizes. The contest was inspired by tweets from out-of-staters requesting that Larkburger ship them food; since that wasn’t a realistic option for the Edwards-based burger chain, it teamed up with Frontier to launch Craving Colorado. To enter, contestants submit videos that could win them a trip back home.
“We have a high level of social media engagement from people — including students — who live outside of Colorado,” says Adam Barker, president of Larkburger. “A lot of these tweets are from people lamenting that they miss Larkburger and jokingly asking us to send them a burger or some truffle fries.”
