Less than a year after opening a second location in downtown Louisville, In Season Local Market has branched out yet again, adding beer, wine and spirits to its repertoire of locally sourced products.

“We wanted to provide something that Louisville lacked, a local marketplace as well as a quality liquor store, and with the new location, we had the space to do it,” explains owner Todd McLaughlin. “And the city was really helpful throughout the whole process.”

The Louisville In Season now carries a selective line of local wines and beers — but it’s the local spirits that has McLaughlin the most excited. “I’m a spirits guy,” he notes. “And there’s some amazing stuff coming out of Colorado these days.”

The market hosts free tastings every Friday evening starting at 4:30 p.m., in conjunction with the Louisville Downtown Street Faire, occasionally incorporates cheese and chocolate pairings into the mix. For more information on upcoming events, go to In Season’s Facebook page.
