With 1,500 craft breweries across the country making tens of thousands of different beers every year, it’s getting hard to come up with new names.

So Twisted Pine Brewing in Boulder is asking for help by running a contest on Twitter and Facebook soliciting the perfect moniker for a vanilla-oaked stout that should be available on tap at the brewery’s tasting room in about three weeks.

“We probably have a new beer that goes on every week and we have seven employees total, so we are always picking our brains,” says brewery spokesman Mike Burns. “With so many beers coming out, it’s tough to keep up with the names.”

So far, suggestions on Facebook include Thrilla in Vanilla, Vanilla Nice and Soaked Out Stout. “People are getting creative,” Burns says. “I’m always surprised at how instant everything is when it comes to social media.”
