Frank’s Kitchen will close temporarily, from September 2-9, so that owners Dina and Frank Berta can take a short “stay-cation.” The restaurant will re-open Monday, September 10.
Since opening in May of 2011, Frank’s kitchen — located in the Whittier neighborhood — has thrived, and in the process, received quite a bit of praise from Westword.
“It’s been going really well,” says Dina Berta. “I’m looking forward to the fall. The neighborhood has been really receptive.”
From crunchy banh mi and tangy teriyaki burgers to spicy jerk chicken plates and “Fish Fry Fridays” — it’s as if Frank’s Kitchen has a menu teeming with answers to the question, “What would hit the spot tonight?”
