One of the most legendary addresses in the Denver area, 320 South Birch Street in Glendale, now has a new occupant: Escandalo Sports Bar & Grill. The name translates to “scandalous,” and this spot certainly saw plenty of scandalous action in the late ’70s, when it was home to The Lift, a ski-themed bar in the heart of singles country. Since then, the building has held many concepts, including Jimmy’s Grill and the Boathouse. Most recently, the building held El Potrero, but it just held a grand reopening to reintroduce itself as Escandalo.
We stopped by and snapped a few photos of the new incarnation:
