Marczyk Fine Foods, 770 East 17th Avenue, is hosting its first weekly wine tasting of 2013 today from 4 to 7 p.m., featuring samples of bottles priced under $15.
“We do a lot of value-oriented things during January because most people are pretty spent after the holidays,” explains in-house sommelier Elisabeth Beemer, who will be on hand discussing the wines and the cheeses she’s chosen to pair with them. “These wines are all part of our wine-of-the-month program.”
The tasting is free and there are always discounts on wine-to-go: 5 percent off for three bottles, 10 percent off for six bottles and 15 percent off for a case (12 bottles).
