The town already has three Tom’s (Tom’s Home Cooking, Tom’s Urban 24 and Tom’s Diner), as well as three Hideaways — Hideaway Steakhouse in Westminster, Hideaway Kitchen & Bar, and Hideaway Tavern in Commerce City (there’s also Herman’s Hideaway). And next week, it will have both a Corner Office and a Corner House.

Yesterday the owners of the future Churchill’s Public House had a liquor-license hearing at the Department of Denver Excise and Licenses; the British-style pub is slated to open in a new building across the street from Lola at 1560 Boulder Street next spring. That’s the building that blocked the downtown view from both Lola’s patio, and even much of the view from Linger’s rooftop.
Churchill’s Public House, which will be on the first floor of the apartment house, is no relation to Churchill Bar, the beloved cigar bar at the Brown Palace.
