It doesn’t take much to convince us to splurge on a Dairy Queen Blizzard — Reese’s, cookie dough, Snickers, whatever! — but today there’s even more incentive, because all participating Dairy Queens will donate a buck or more of the purchase price of every Blizzard to childrens’ hospitals throughout the country as part of “Miracle Treat Day.”

In Colorado, the beneficiary is The Children’s Hospital in Aurora.

Since it started the promotion in 1984, Dairy Queen has raised over $81 million for the Children’s Miracle Network.

According to the website, there are 43 area Dairy Queens participating in the promotion.
