Denver’s public schools have been showing support for Haiti in a big way, between “penny wars” at Place Bridge Elementary, Hearts for Haiti at Goldrick and dozens of other fundraising events.

The latest effort comes in the form a school fundraising staple: bake sales.

The district is encouraging Denver schools to host bake sales on Tuesday, January 26, from 7 to 9 a.m.; some sales will continue after school as well.

For a full list of participating schools — plus information on other fundraising efforts, including bake sales later this week, a benefit concert, collections of items needed in Haiti and more — click here or visit www.dpsk12.org.
