Denver-based Novo Coffee roasts some of the best beans in the city from their Larimer Street roasting facility, and while the company’s three Novo coffee bars located in the Denver Art Museum, Hamilton Building and Duncan Pavilion and Museum residences are all doing well, the Arvada location will stop percolating at the end of April. “Our lease is up and we’re looking for someone to take it over,” says owner Jake Brodsky.
“We have a great base of customers, but not a big enough base of customers,” laments Brodsky, who plans to focus on “more on the wholesale side of things,” while simultaneously fixing up the downtown roasting facility so that he can start hosting events and classes. “I’d love to showcase new coffees, push the education of coffee — how it’s grown and how it’s processed and maybe teach some classes on home brewing,” says Brodsky.
