The bad news is that the end of summer is almost upon us. The good news is that so are the end-of-summer parties. One of the best of these is the Reel Social Club Summer Scream 4.
“Adults-only fun at a throwback amusement park is pretty much a childhood dream come true,” says Reel Social co-founder Katie Shapiro. “For $35, to have a private party at an amusement park with an open bar, I don’t think there’s a better deal for an end-of-summer bash.”
For five hours, enjoy unlimited drinks and unlimited rides at Lakeside Amusement Park, soundtracked by a host of local DJs. If you need a break from all that spinning and boozing, there will be a giant screen to watch – it is a Denver Film Society event, remember – and you can always use the opportunity to meet some fellow film fanatics, which can be hard to do at the actual movies.
The party starts at 6 p.m. tonight at Lakeside Amusement Park, 4601 Sheridan Boulevard. Tickets are $35 ($30 for DFS members), or join the Reel Social Club for a year for $80 and get in for free. For more information, visit denverfilm.org.
