While cruising last winter’s Fancy Tiger Holiday Handmade show, we chanced upon the most delightful booth: Featuring paper dolls, prints and cross-stitched buttons by crafty Canadian partners Sara Guindon and Samantha Purdy, who together comprise the Pin Pals, their table offered up something truly original and more than a little charming in the sea of handmade wares. Guindon has since moved to and made her mark in Denver, showing work at such design-savvy local-artist shops as the I Heart Denver store in the Denver Pavilions, and tonight from 7 to 10 p.m., she’ll preside at Fancy Tiger Clothing’s monthly Denver Made trunk show.
We don’t need convincing. We already love her primitive cuties. But here are a few examples of what Guindon does so well:
