Counting the days until the flurries fly? The fashion industry does a little slope-sharing tonight at Sideways Riders, where Essentials Clothing plans to lip-slide into fall by launching a sneak peek of its winter line at Vinyl nightclub. The snow and skate garb gurus have teamed up with FashionDenver to benefit the Snowboard Outreach Society (S.O.S.), a Vail Valley non-profit organization that teaches snowboarding in a structured environment to at-risk and underprivileged youth.

Artists Debbie Clapper, Umph! and Shay are on the attendance roster along with the Growlers, a snow-starved Orange County band that describes its music as a “blend of soggy sounds from the swamps to the surfs.”

Get sick and rip right on up to the rooftops at Vinyl, 1082 Broadway, tonight from 7 to 10 p.m.; the 21-and-over event requires a $10 donation to S.O.S. at the door. Visit www.essentialsgear.com for more information.

Sat., Sept. 15, 7-10 p.m.
