I love the way you put it: “They’ve learned that buying something original doesn’t have to burn a hole in your pocket, and that these kinds of presents signal a return to the kind of giving that’s much like looking someone in the eye and telling someone that you care about them. No gift-wrapped giant-screen TV will ever do that for you.”
Now, get out there and get shopping! Many of the markets that Susan Froyd mentions here are open today or this weekend.
