Winifred R. Harris’s Between Lines takes the stage in Denver and Boulder with a work celebrating women and how they are both different and alike, regardless of age, culture, race and economics. The Denver-based choreographer and activist got her start with Cleo Parker Robinson before starting her own company in California; now she’s back with this new production for Front Range audiences.

Vintage Theatre turns on the summer heat with the classic of all classic Tennessee Williams dramas: the Pulitzer Prize-winning A Streetcar Named Desire, a story forever etched across our eyeballs in black and white, thanks to Elia Kazan’s iconic film version starring Marlon Brando and Vivian Leigh as Stanley Kowalski and Blanche DuBois. That’s a lot to live up to for Denver cast-mates Kurt Brighton and Haley Johnson, but they’ve had practice and will be reprising the roles they first played in 2008. Stella!!!

Neil Simon’s ever-sparring roommates, Oscar and Felix, are back in this always-welcome saga that also made a splash on the big screen and the boob tube. The Miners Alley production of The Odd Couple brings James O’Hagan-Murphy and Len Matheo together as the mismatched cronies; the laughs are sure and certain and just right for the summertime.
