The Larimer Sidewalk Arts Festival is a work in progress — the hosts learned a little something last year about seasonal scheduling — and it’s still growing, which is a good thing. So what can attendees expect? Lots of fantastic art created by young people; artists between the ages of twelve and 21 were invited to show and sell their work, with no participation fee required. Mix that in with music, food and community, and you’ve got the festival, where you can buy art you’ll never see anywhere else, directly from the source. Best of all, you’ll know all your money is going straight into the artists’ pockets — and perhaps inspiring them to keep creating.
Stop by Larimer Square today between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to check out the wares; artists can register by e-mailing meadowlarkart@gmail.com. Get more information at www.flobots.org.
