Yes, Virginia, you still have time to make a holiday gift that comes straight from your heart. Or, if you’re the industrious type, you can swap your handiwork for something equally wonderful. AIGA Colorado and Fancy Tiger are hosting tonight’s Craftworks Trading Party, which mashes up the making and the trading, so everyone goes home happy.
Bring a handmade to trade if you have it, or work on your project there; Fancy Tiger also carries lots of cute, pre-packaged crafts that you can create on the spot. And then you trade ’em — unless you’ve fallen completely in love with what you dragged into the fray.
But wait. There’s still another alternative: Drink and Draw, a loose ongoing gathering that does just what it says, will also be gathering at Fancy Tiger tonight, complete with customizable blank cards.
The combined events are free, but $2 beer and punch will be available for those who are of age. And there’s also that requirement of bringing something handmade to trade — which shouldn’t be a problem, since it’s the whole point of going in the first place. But first, remember to RSVP on the AIGA website.
