Lumberjack Crawl tomorrow: Wear plaid flannel and get drink specials galore

If you participated in last year’s Lumberjack Crawl down Colfax Avenue (see the slideshow from that Lumberjack Crawl), you know how much fun it can be. Organizer Kiki Nichols is bringing the crawl back for a second year; this time, All Jacked Up: Second Annual Lumberjack Crawl will focus on downtown Denver and (score!) will include drink specials at participating bars for everyone dressed in flannel and carrying an axe. The crawl is totally free to attend, and with the drink specials, you’re guaranteed lots of fun for very little cash. Here’s a rundown of what’s going on where:

Please note, these times are estimations, so try to make it to the opening bar at the allotted time so you don’t miss out on any of the fun.

First stop: Ginn Mill, 2041 Larimer Street, at 7:30 p.m. Drink specials: $2 16-oz. Coors Light drafts, $3 Jim Beam and $3 “Lumberjack shots.”

Second stop: Scruffy Murphy’s, 2030 Larimer Street, at 8:30 p.m. Drink specials: $3.50 PBR Tall Boys and $3 Blue Ox shots. Don’t miss this stop, kids — Scruffy Murphy’s is judging the costume contest, and there will be fabulous prizes.

Third stop: Giggling Grizzly, 1320 20th Street, at 9:30 p.m. Drink specials: $2 Rolling Rock; $3 Bud and Bud Light on tap; flavored vodka/rum for $3 and $2.50 “Paul Bunyan shots.”

Fourth stop: Swanky’s, 1938 Blake Street, at 10:30 p.m. Drink specials still to-be-determined — but they should be good.

Final stop: Jackson’s LoDo, 520 20th Street, at 11:30 p.m. Drink specials: $3 Jager Splash and $2 Bud Light bottles.

If you’re wondering what Paul Bunyan, Blue Ox and Lumberjack shots are — we don’t know either. But man up and try one — they’re bound to put hair on your chest.
