Volunteering can be so fulfilling. There’s nothing like giving something back to your community; it’s a use of your time that’s much more rewarding than watching Deal or No Deal. But who’s got the extra hours to effectively research local volunteer options?

Start by attending today’s Fall in Love With Volunteering event, a creative twist on the speed-dating concept. “People who are busy, who don’t have time to do the research, can have a short meeting and really have an opportunity to find something they might be able to fall in love with,” says Nora Simmons Daly, director of volunteer programs for Metro Volunteers. Stop by the Denver Botanic Gardens, 1005 York Street, between 9 and 11 a.m. to peruse the possibilities; admission is free. Visit www.metrovolunteers.org for information.
Sat., Feb. 10, 9-11 a.m.
