If you’ve ever wanted to own an action-figure version of yourself, Geekshow II is your chance to make that happen. “We’re bringing a full-body 3-D scanning booth that we built,” says Mar Williams, chair of the Concoctory Hackerspace. “You stand on a turntable and it rotates you around, and we 3-D scan you in real time. Then we send it to a 3-D printer and make an action figure of whoever we just scanned.”

DIY action figures are just the tip of the nerd iceberg, however. Geekiness of every persuasion will be on hand, from the comedy-musical stylings of the Mark Putt Sci-Fi Explosion to the geeky side of sex with Dr. Xtreme of Orgasmatronics. “Anybody who does something in the nerdy vein can get up on stage and do that, and celebrate all things geek,” explains Williams.

It’s all to get the word out about the Concoctory, a place to get together and make things happen with DIY weird science and technology. “We’re trying to tell people that hackerspaces are a thing that exists,” Williams says. “If we party and say, ‘Hey, we’re geeks and you’re geeks, too,’ then people will find out about the available spaces they can use.”

Get geeky at 8 p.m. tonight at 3 Kings Tavern, 60 South Broadway; admission is $5. For more information, visit concoctory.com/geekshow.
