Jonesy’s EatBar, D Bar Desserts and the Vine Street Pub are the new kids on the block, but a rash of Uptown stalwarts, including Steuben’s, the Avenue Grill, Strings, Parallel 17, Limón and other time-honored eateries will also be back for the 21st Uptown Sampler, a lighthearted culinary journey that appeals to foodies, happy-hour aficionados and anyone else looking for a good time — all for a well-stretched $20 ($25 the day of the event). The fee, after all, pays for itself in just a few stops: Participating restaurants and businesses in the neighborhood bounded by Lincoln and York streets and Colfax and 20th Avenue will offer menu tastings, drink specials and other deals along the way, and a free excursion bus will be provided for the foot-weary. The icing? Everything culminates at Uptown Square, 1950 Pennsylvania Street, with live music, wine tasting and desserts to finish off the night.
