There’s one thing we can almost all agree on, and that’s the joy of food, be it locally sourced and perfectly plated or just slapped, straight from the grill, on a paper plate. And that explains the continuing success of A Taste of Colorado, now in its 31st year of serving turkey legs and live music to elbow-to-elbow crowds over Labor Day weekend. Beyond the turkey legs is a boundless smorgasbord of things to eat from more than fifty food booths.

This year’s Taste continues to offer a variety of dishes and things to do, from shopping its 250-plus artisan and vendor booths to watching a synchronized fireworks-and-light show on Friday night. And the music? The food fest’s national headliners include something for everyone – En Vogue, the Wallflowers, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, the Commodores and more – while its five stages also feature everything local from jazz to rock.

A Taste of Colorado fires up for its four-day run today in Civic Center Park from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and continues Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; admission, as always, is free, but be prepared to ante up for food tix, which are $10 for every fifteen tickets.
